JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Smeal College of Business, in partnership with Black School of Business, Penn State Behrend; Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies; and Penn State Harrisburg School of Business Administration, is seeking to hire Teaching Support Specialists (TSS) to assist with online course delivery and instruction for the Penn State Online Master of Business Administration ( O MBA) program . The Penn State Online MBA is highly ranked , and World Campus ranks among the top 5 providers of online graduate business programs according to US News and World Report.

TSSs are professionals in the field of business administration with the appropriate background needed to assist with engagement of professional students and application of course concepts to contemporary business. Duties include but are not limited to assisting the lead instructor with feedback/grading, facilitation of discussion boards, moderation of live sessions, and course innovation. Additionally, TSSs will assist students with technical and course content issues upon request. The position requires competency in the application of principles and practices essential to modern management such as business analytics, problem-solving, influencing others, critical thinking, and cross-functional business savvy. Prior experience with online learning is preferred. Students who have completed Penn State’s Online MBA or similar education is preferred.
Teaching Support Specialists work remotely from any location and will typically work 10 hours per week (average) on a contract basis. TSS are paid based on credit assignment, $4000/semester/3 credit course. Prorated accordingly based on credit hours. TSSs are needed beginning the S pring 2021 semester.
