Full Job Description

Instant Brands has an immediate opening for a Social Media Moderator, Consumer Care (Remote/Part-time).

What will you do?

  • Monitor, review and moderate all user-generated content in social media platforms
  • Maintain our social media platforms compliant with company guidelines and policies. Manage and report on site traffic and user profiles within forums, comments, images, videos and audio
  • Community management – approval or rejection of membership requests, members tracking and removal, overall membership maintenance
  • Wow our consumers – provide best-in-class customer support by handling and responding to consumer inquires within the social communities, usually, but not limited to, product-related content
  • Use market-specific knowledge, signals and insights to spot and scope scalable solutions to improve the support of our social communities
  • Gather, analyze and utilize relevant data to develop ways to improve the overall user experience on the site
  • Understand consumer needs and provide the best possible resolutions, ensuring the highest levels of consumer satisfaction while demonstrating excellent product knowledge
  • Serves as the consumer’s advocate by engaging the appropriate cross-functional contacts to help solve problems
  • Builds online connections and facilitates relationships through an effective online presence
  • Social reporting and analytics – works closely with multifunctional teams, reporting back actionable insights
  • Strong partnership with the social platforms account manager
  • Properly escalates consumer interactions as needed
  • Stay current on social media news and trends

If you have some or all of the below, we want to talk to you!

  • Able to work from Friday to Monday up to 32 hours per week
  • Comfortable and experienced with social media
  • Mature and professional demeanor with proven customer service orientation while viewing and addressing a variety of content and Facebook user situations
  • Strong English proficiency (Written and Verbal)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, and a proactive approach
  • Working operational knowledge and understanding of online community platform moderation tools (Forums, Blogs, Photo Uploads, Commenting etc.)
  • Ability to make well-balanced decisions reinforcing required compliance while being an effective advocate for the Instant Pot Facebook community
  • Consumer products industry experience is an asset
  • Proven ability to acquire industry knowledge and understand online customer profiles
  • Team player, detail-focused and reliable
  • Knowledge of using an Instant Pot and Instant appliances are considered an asset
  • Flexible schedules are priority as schedules may be adjusted to meet customer needs
