Full Job Description

  • You will be responsible for creating and/or purchasing MILSTRIP, Purchase Card, and SPS Contract Purchase Requisitions (PRs) as assigned for supplies, material, property, services, and minor construction.
  • You will procure IAW Federal Acquisition Regulations and applicable federal, Navy and local procurement regulations, directives and instructions associated with Strategic Sourcing Initiatives.
  • You will be responsible for reviewing and prioritizing assigned Purchase Requisitions.
  • You will be responsible for preparing documentation to support the accuracy, price, and legality of those purchases ensuring that items are fair and reasonable.
  • You will assess PRs for completeness of item description, priority, funds expiration date, possible consolidation, and coordinate required approvals
  • You will interface with PR Creators, customers, and vendors to resolve problems associated with purchase requests or requests for deviations from solicitation terms.
  • You will validate and ensure that the Government Minimum Need has been met on all PRs and has been documented in accordance with local guidance.
  • You will reconciles monthly purchase card billing statements, certifies receipt of material/services, and disputes unauthorized or invalid billings.

    • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field “E-Purchasing” Level 2. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.QualificationsFOR THE GS- 05: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-04) in the Federal service assisting with the procurement of goods or services.

      FOR THE GS-06: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-05) in the Federal service supporting the procurement of goods or services, to include using automated purchasing systems.

      FOR THE GS-07 I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-06) in the Federal service administering the procurement of goods or services, to include post-award administration.
