Where Business Meets Fashion is currently seeking candidates for the position of Part-Time Pre-College Program Coordinator.


LIM College educates students for success in the global business of fashion and its many related industries. Located in midtown Manhattan – the fashion capital of the world – and devoted exclusively to the study of business and fashion, LIM College fosters a unique connection between real-world experience and academic study in business principles. Undergraduate students may major in Fashion Merchandising, International Business, Management, Marketing or Visual Merchandising. At the graduate level, LIM College offers an MBA program as well as MPS programs in Fashion Marketing, Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management, Global Fashion Supply Chain Management, and Visual Merchandising.

The Pre-College Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, recruiting and executing all pre-college programs including but not limited to summer and Saturday events. The Pre-College Program coordinator will partner with Academic Affairs to plan courses, College Marketing to promote the program, and Admissions to recruit students for the program.

The position is 20-25 hours per week.


Program Planning

* Works with Academic Affairs to plan courses

* Assists Academic Affairs in the onboarding of new faculty

* Creates web content and works with College Marketing to post online

* Creates print copy and works with College Marketing to execute print literature

* Works with College Marketing and Admissions to ensure advertisement, communication flow and print material is being executed

* Creates, maintains and updates the registration pages for the program

* Hires and trains student mentors and assistants

* Works with Admissions department to provide education as to the programs and facilitate recruitment

* Sends confirmation notices to registered students with materials and fees information

* Fields student, parent and educator questions via email, phone and chat

* Works closely with the Registrar department to set up courses in SONIS and reporting

* Works with Accounting to establish purchasing ability or petty cash

* Pre-purchases or pre-orders required materials for professors

* Works closely with Residence Life and Housing team to establish policy and procedure for incoming students.

* Suggest and support Residence Life programming

* Presents at Open House and Information Sessions to recruit students to program

* Send weekly registration report

* Travels when necessary to attend recruitment events or Pre-College programs in targeted territories

* Follows up on communication within 24 hours of receipt

* Collaborates with Facilities and IT for needs of program

* Updates and distributes surveys to faculty

* Conducts recruitment webinars

Program Execution

* Attends weekly move-in and is available and present daily at campus location where courses are held

* Changes students courses (add/drop)

* Manages feedback on course content and faculty and provides to Academic Affairs

* Executes last minute changes to course location, professors etc.

* Directs faculty, staff and students on how to handle issues and concerns

* Provides petty cash and materials to professors weekly

* Checks up on students and manages parent inquiries while students are present

* Monitors student attendance

Program Follow Up

* Sends follow up letters and transcripts

* Hosts reunion lunch

* Hosts focus groups for prior registrants who matriculated at LIM College

* Liaises with Admissions Counselors regarding specific students of interest

* Completes annual close out report

* Reviews trends of registrant schools and demographics and makes admissions recommendations

* Provide data projections on enrollment
