Function in primary reception role for program participants, volunteers nd other visitors to the office.


* Ensure front desk is staffed during assigned weekly hours

* Assist in coordinating and training staff and volunteers assigned at the front desk

* Maintain a clean, welcoming and informative environment the office reception area

* Responsible for the office procedures in the beginning and the end of the day

* Assist visitors by fielding general questions, providing basic assistance and redirecting them to the appropriate staff when needed

* Screen incoming calls and messages, reply to messages as requested

* Manage the phone system, including updates for the general message

* Distribute paperwork, checks or information to participants as requested by directservice staff

* Maintain uptodate knowledge of staff schedules, contact information and appointments

* Assist with administrative tasks as time allows


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

* A desire to serve refugees and immigrants in support of the mission of World Relief

* Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

* Capability to multitasking and balance multiple responsibilities

* Knowledge of the second language a plus

* Good computer knowledge, including MS Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new programs

* Self-motivated worker with the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and complete required tasks on time

* Demonstrate ability to work effectively with diverse group of people

* Flexibility and the ability to learn quickly in a fast paced work environment

* Ability to communicate the work and mission of World Relief to visitors


* Ability to provide excellent customer service

* Previous customer service experience a plus

* Good oral and written communication in English

* High school degree or AA degree or commensurate work experience
