We are seeking a Heart Walk Consultant who can be based anywhere but preferably in the New York, New Jersey or Connecticut (Tri-State) area.  In this role you will be as a team member on the National Heart Walk Team and work in conjunction with the National Director of Heart Walk to develop overall strategic direction for the organization’s largest field fundraiser; focus on consultation to assigned specific metro markets as well as overall consultation to the field.

This position is responsible for growth in assigned key markets by providing strategic direction to Affiliate Leadership, Executive Directors, Senior Heart Walk Directors and Walk Directors in assigned markets while providing ongoing consultation, situation appraisals and development of short and long range plans, key drivers and best practices for the field.  The National Heart Walk Team is responsible for achieving the Associations overall revenue goal for Heart Walk.  Please note this position requires up to 70% travel.


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Consultant Credibility is critical and qualified candidates must have 2+ years experience in a $1M+ Heart Walk with demonstrated results including achievement of the following:
    • Consistent/Sustained Growth
    • Cause Sponsorship
    • $100K+ Companies
    • Best Practice Chair/Executive Leadership Teams
    • Vendor Campaigns
    • Demonstrated Commitment to Best Practices
    • Overall Drive for Excellence
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Skilled in planning projects and working against deadlines to provide end product
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud Event Management System
