Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking applications for a part-time library evening/weekend supervisor at the George and Leona Lewis Library. The supervisor provides library support to students, faculty and staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: provision of ready-reference and circulation services, general support for patron use of library computers and printers, preparation of materials for cataloging and interlibrary loan, opening and closing of the library, and supervision of on-duty student employees.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred. Previous library experience and knowledge of library methods and procedures preferred.
Qualified candidates will have effective communication, organizational, interpersonal and computer skills. The ability to effectively communicate with faculty students and staff and maintain a cooperative and courteous environment is critical.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
