Enjoy a diverse, collaborative environment with professionals across the nation ready to help launch your career. Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cost Estimating Analyst, located in El Segundo, CA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Estimates manufacturing, support labor and tooling labor in response to Request for Proposals (RFP) and Special Studies
  • Analyzes specifications including; statements of work, sketches, schedules, blueprints, bills of material, sample layouts, historical data and standards to create supportable, auditable estimates- Analyzes historical data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors- Prepares and maintains historical cost data- Creates cost models for cost estimating elements
  • Update tooling variance factors
  • Prepares task assessments (TA) and basis of estimate (BOE) for proposals
  • Presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, internal functions, and auditors

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of cost estimating/proposal-related experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 year of stated experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (primarily Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience Performing Data and Trend Analysis
  • Experienced in Military contracts RFP/Change systems and FAR requirements
  • Understanding of Time Standards, Variance Factors, and Learning Curves
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis or Least Square Regressions
  • Experience in presenting technical and theoretical analysis to senior management
