Overview

The primary function of the SharePoint Administrator position is to help ShortPoint customers to fix the SharePoint Farm Administration and WSP installation related issues and help sales team with technical pre-sales queries.

Note:

1. This is a remote position, we do not give sponsorship or visa.

2. This is hourly pay + commission based job  

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. To be able to meet with customers during European and American time zones and help them resolve SharePoint admin related issues stopping them to try or use ShortPoint.
  2. To be able to fix
    1. Service Applications (for app management)
    2. WSP installation
    3. Timer Job
    4. Caching
    5. any other problem at customers’ environment related to ShortPoint installation
  3. Help sales team with SharePoint technical related queries to be able to close deal

Requirements

Common

  1. Computer science knowledge
  2. Windows operating system and hardware knowledge
  3. Knowledge of networking, including creating firewalls, security zones and encryption
  4. Experience with Internet Information Server (IIS)
  5. Experience with a Microsoft SQL Server

SharePoint Related

  1. Should have done at least 5 farm installation using PowerShell
  2. Experience with SharePoint Service Application troubleshooting
  3. Experience with SharePoint search configuration
