Job Category: QA & Testing
Location: Work from anywhere (U.S.)
$17-22 per hour.
Do you have good taste in music? Do you have a favorite Star Trek episode? Do you like to solve puzzles? Are you always learning something? If so, you’d love working here! Art & Logic is a custom software development company made up of cool, creative people. Our small testing department is expanding. So we’re looking for someone who loves playing with (and breaking!) software, and who also enjoys computers and technology. Our new Tester will be a person who likes finding problems, figuring out how to reproduce them, and can clearly describe them to programmers — so the problems can be fixed!
- Frequent and accurate communication, including giving status updates.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to develop a detailed test plan and then execute it, including thorough feature-level testing.
- Dogged approach to problem solving.
- Flexibility in adapting to a project’s changing needs.
- A degree in any discipline (yes, anything, that includes Music, Drama, Psychology, etc..).
- Ideally you’ve got a year, or more, of experience.
- Experience juggling multiple priorities and schedules.
Everyone at the company is connected via our workgroup collaboration system, so most communication will be online. This position pays $17-$22 per hour, depending on experience. We’re looking for someone to work approximately 20 hours/week, who’s able to work weekday and daytime hours. In the future, we are interested in increasing hours, as needed. This is a W-2 employment position; however, there are no benefits, paid sick leave, or paid vacation unless working full-time. All work is done from home, anywhere in the USA. (Sorry, we will not consider any applicants outside the USA.)
Art & Logic develops custom software for major clients around the world, including Google, Coca-Cola, Apple, 20th Century Fox, Roland, Motorola, and many others. In our 25 years of business we’ve grown slowly, consistently, to over 50 people.
Variety is the spice of life, and, at A&L, and we don’t worry about getting bored. We work on mobile and web applications, desktop products, and across a wide range of technologies and industries. Our clients typically have complex requirements and high-performance expectations. Art & Logic project teams can solve the most unusual and tricky problems — often where other companies have failed.
