Curbed seeks a freelance copywriter to work in one of our social media properties writing descriptions of photos. The project requires describing what is in a photo with all relevant keywords in an easily digestible, earnest way, sometimes pulling ideas and keywords from a related Curbed article. You will be briefed on how to employ keywords and use our brand voice, but you will be expected to create clean, correct copy with very little editing or oversight. You will be required to provide your own equipment (computer, internet access, etc.). This project is expected to last for four to six weeks. Please include links to your Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, and/or other social media accounts in a brief cover letter.
Required skills and experience:
- Demonstrated ability to produce flawless copy
- Be able to write in the Curbed voice
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience writing in a brand voice
- Familiarity with multiple social media platforms
- Experience in design, architecture, and interiors preferred
